Colors Of My Life Final

The subject is of some of the people I care about the most, in colors that represent them. Each of them brings color into my life on a daily basis, whether at school, at home, or on the phone. (Clockwise) In brown is my dog, Sam. He is brown because he is cuddly and an animal, and very earthy. In pink is my mom. She is pink because she has a very bubbly, caring personality, and is a very good mother. In yellow is my brother-from-another-mother Anthony. He is yellow because he has a very flamboyant, fun-loving personality. In orange is my best guy friend Michael. He is orange because his personality is very fun, and he is very humorous. In red is my friend Antonio, who is red because he is very fiery and strong in his personality and in his life. In blue is my dad, who has a very mellow and calm personality. In purple is my best girl friend Reanna, who is an artist and likes to be a bit mysterious. And lastly, but certainly not least is my boyfriend, Justin, who is orange also. I picked orange for him because he is also very humorous, and likes to just have fun, and he is very loving and caring. In the center is me, in green, my favorite color. I chose green for myself because it’s a very peaceful color, and can have different shades for different moods.
I chose each of the subjects because each of them makes me laugh regularly, and bring color into my life in other ways also. I treasure laughter, and happiness, because it is so hard to come by these days. (Clockwise) Sam makes me laugh because of his silly antics. He’s a typical dog, who lives to eat, sleep and cuddle. My mom cares for me when I’m sick or feeling down, or just in general. Anthony is like a brother to me, and he makes me laugh on a daily basis with his funny antics and the inside jokes we share. Michael is always there for me and always cares, and he makes me laugh with his endless supply of jokes. Antonio is my school humor, when in the classed we share he jokes with me and makes me laugh every day without fail. My dad is always there to help me with homework or a project, and like my mom, loves me unconditionally. Reanna is always there to talk to, and to joke around with, and I can be the weirdest I can be without her making fun of me. We have a constant stream of projects together, and a supply of endless inside jokes to laugh at. My loving boyfriend, Justin, has been with me through thick and thin for over three years, loving me and caring for me even through the darkest times. I am truly thankful to have him, and the years I have been with him have been the happiest of my life. I am thankful for all these people, and this is a tribute to the people I love, even the ones who didn’t make it onto the board for lack of room.
The medium is a complicated one. I took the pictures of the people, and tweaked them in Photoshop. The filter I put on them was Photocopy. Then I put a color gradient over it. I then printed out the photos, and pasted them to poster board. I drew a puzzle pattern on the back, and cut them out. I assembled them onto the larger board and pasted them down.
